Motel6 - Horrible, Horrible, Horrible
MACON, GEORGIA -- I had to go to Macon for an overnight trip and needed a place to stay. Of course it caught my eye that the price per night was only around $35 dollars. I guess what I did not realize what $35 will get you; even on the “better” side of town. Let me just start from the beginning. I walked into the lobby and had to ring a bell for service, no big deal, the employee may have been busy, but he was not busy cleaning.
When I got checked in and found the room, the first smell that hit me was urine and the hallways on both floors! The room was not any better. Dirty floors, damaged dressers, electrical sockets that did not function properly, and cool shower water. After an ok night of rest, housekeeping came and woke me up at 8am, asking was I staying over. #1: Check out was not until 11am.
#2: I was not past any checkout time so the earliest I should have heard from them would be 10, 10:30 am. So after being woken up 3 hours early, I decided to take a shower so I could leave. After brushing my teeth and turning on the shower, the water never got over 65 degrees. I had to take a “skin-shower” just to be clean. After that I really had enough. By far one of the worst hotels (motels) I have ever stayed in. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. Whether you need 2 hours or 2 days, choose another place. If money is an issue, choose another place. Bottom line, unless you want to spend 24-48 hours in a dump, this place is for you!!
