THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORNIA -- In order to obtain a copy of Zaken's sales assoc., manual they insisted that the buyer pay a $170. good will deposit. This amount is to be returned in case buyer decides to quit. I requested a refund and was promptly told that no refund was due after 30 days. I questioned their lack of integrity to deny me a refund under such narrow or subjective guidelines. Obviously, Zaken was going to steal my money from the get go. I doubt they ever intended to refund any money. It is a sophisticated scam.

Any time you have to pay money up front to get a job it is a scam.

A company like this is going to try to get some money from you ASAP, and if you tried to back out after a month it isn't that surprising. I'd call this a lesson learned. The business model doesn't sound that appetizing - finding and selling a bunch of liquidated junk. Thanks for the warning.
