Multiband - Finally Satisfied Customer
SUGAR LAND, TEXAS -- My house was built in 2000, completely wired for cable. Any time I needed service, the techs were doing their own thing, cutting cables here and there, not knowing that all they had to do was go from the master box and run the cable up to the attic and split to different rooms from there. The left hands didn't know what the right hands had done. The previous tech I had simply hooked up the cable from the wall outlet, left a 2 foot loop on the floor, and his idea of hiding the cable was to staple it to the baseboard. Didn't even bother to run the cable from the outside into the receiver. I refused to sign the work order, so naturally, he left a very unhappy camper. When I finally couldn't stand it anymore I decided to call direcTV to have it corrected.
The Tech was supposed to show up between 8 and 12am. He showed up at 7:45 am. Real early. I let him in and showed him the cable on the floor. It was so unacceptable that he actually took a picture and sent it to his Supervisor (Greg) who was appalled at what he saw, and came out twice to help.
The Tech (Mr. Jermaine xxxxxx)got to work and had to do a lot of rewiring in the attic and on the outside cables. I admired his work ethic. Never took a lunch or bathroom break. Even when it started to rain, he just went to his van, put on his slicker, and went back to work outside. Later on, after sundown, he and his supervisor were still out there working on the cables and receivers. We had two dishes which he replaced with just one. He left the brackets on the roof for the removed dishes, but that was OK with me, because after hurricane Ike I had to have the roof replaced. Removing the brackets may have caused a potential roof leak.
They restored our dish service before they left, but came back the next day to do some minor cleanup. Jermain worked from 8am to 10pm all day, without stopping except to receive parts from other techs that he didn't have in stock. The co-owner of this house absolutely forbade me from calling direct for this repair, but who you gonna call? Just hope you get a tech and supervisor as good as I did. The next time I need service, I am requesting them specifically. The only reason I gave this company a three star rating is because of the crappy work done by the previous techs.
