Hotel Reservation - Complaint
NEW YORK -- In November 2011, made a hotel reservation for my son's May 2012 graduation in Holyoke MA Days Inn through Priceline.com. I called Days Inn two days prior to my arrival to confirm my reservation. They informed me that Priceline had cancelled my reservation, and of course, since it was graduation weekend, they had no availability. I called Priceline, of course, only got an automated system for 1 hour, and they confirmed my reservation. I called Days Inn and they said Priceline was incorrect. They (Day's INN) had cancelled ALL Priceline.com reservations for that weekend and had notified Priceline.com. Priceline, finally a real person, confirmed this, but said "the hotel was supposed to call you and notify you when they told us in April." Well, to make a long story short, I was refunded my money and had to drive 2 1/2 hours to my son's graduation- there and back, because of the lack of customer commitment and reliability on the part of both Days Inn and Priceline. Never again.
