Sears - Warranty
Rotary Lawn Mower - Complaint
WAYNE, NEW JERSEY -- Last June of 2011 I purchase a lawn mower model 917.374542 They told me the machine has 2 years full warranty on craftsman lawn mower.
For the first time I used the mower I notice the transmission was very slow in uphills I though it was normal. Then, it stopped working all together and I dropped it off in the SEARS DEPARTMENT IN WILLOBROOK MALL LOCATED IN WAYNE NEW JERSEY. They sent it back to me and the told me it was the drive cable and all they did was adjust the cable and everything will be fine.
The very first time I had to use the mower again the cable broke inside the driving box all I did was just pull the level that is all I did and the cable broke.
I took the mower back to Sears and they told me I have to pay 120 dollars to have them fix it. When I told them I have 2 years warranty they told me this is a problem I have with Craftsman not with Sears. I told them I purchase the mower from Sears at the same store and he told me this is not his problem.
I am a Sears customer for the last 30 years everything I own, I bought from Sears. I have a hard time understanding that. Sears should honor the manufactures' guaranty.
