Target.com - Cancellation Procedure
I purchased a Gazebo from Target.com this morning and called this evening to cancel the order. Please keep in mind that when I checked on the status of the order the automated system indicated that it would ship in approx 2-3 days. I was told that because I didn't cancel the order within 30 minutes of it being placed, that they would not be able to cancel it.
They went on to say that when the item arrives, I should refuse it and it will be returned at which time (I'm assuming) my credit card would be credited.
I spoke with 3 people and they all told me the same thing. When I mentioned that there have been times when deliveries were made to my home and just left at the door they suggested that if that were to happen, I could return the item to my nearest Target Store. Are you kidding me? What happened to customer satisfaction?
It's no wonder our nation is in trouble - the fact that they would go through with shipping an item only to be returned is a big waste of time, money and resources!
