MANITOWOC, WISCONSIN -- We discovered that Progressive had been charging us for our son's driving record and he did not even had the same plan we did. HE lost his license and they convinced us that because his mailing address was at our home there was a risk he would take our car without our permission and the law required we pay. For two years we paid and when I checked with another agency I found that we did not. So we cancelled Progressive. We also had a moped policy that was expiring in less than two weeks. When my husband said we weren't renewing it, the agent asked if we wanted to cancel. My husband not understanding the "rules" said yes. One week and one half before it ran out, that signature cost us and extra $30 on a $75 minor policy on a moped we no longer owned. The agent knew that and led my husband to sign a cancellation. After many years of supporting them that is how they treat their customers. I hope the woman can sleep at night. IF Progressive is that hard up that they have to scam retired people out of $30, it is sad. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone no matter what "FLO" tells you on the commercial.
