EVANSTON, ILLINOIS -- I just want to publicly express my disgust with this cafe. The people there, especially a dark haired man named Joseph, are extremely rude and off-putting. I wonder how they stay in business at all.

They rush patrons, tell them to leave even though the place is empty, and make people feel extremely unwelcome. This is disgusting and there are so many more nicer, kinder cafes in Evanston. Avoid this nasty place at all costs. They are to be shunned as ungrateful jerks who consistently bite the hand(s) that feed them!

"Consistently" bites the hand that feeds them? That infers the OP must be a regular, in order to ascertain that the behavior is consistent. I definitely wouldn't consistently go to a restaurant with such poor service.

Your inference of what the OP *implies* may be correct; it is hard to tell. Perhaps the OP knows a lot of friends or neighbors, and some have experienced the same service.

I am hoping that the OP returns and cites specifics, for example how Joseph is rude and off-putting. Also, in what ways the place is "disgusting".

I am further wondering who the other "ungrateful jerks" are, and in what way they have displayed their colors. The OP paints a bleak picture, but I'd like the numbered squares to be given deeper pigment.

Jusging from all the complaints and bad reviews (both on-line and off-line) about Cafe Mozart in Evanston by all the different people who have never met each other, there must be smoke where there is fire.

Who would want to go there to experience any negative treatment?

Sounds highly likely that Cafe Mozart employees, particularly Joseph, have bad manners, attitudes and body language. They apparently do not know how to treat people according to the Golden Rule. Perhaps trmn8r and DIRM74 can visit Joseph at Cafe Mozart in Evanston, IL and experience the treatment for themselves, unless they of course have too much self-respect.

I also have had a bad experience here and would not return. The quality of both the people and the drinks is low and undesirable. Evanston has tons of other way better cafes with much warmer and welcoming people and better drinks and pastries.
