Floristexpress.com - Disappointed with service - cancelled order
birthday flower arrangement
SPRING HILL, TENNESSEE -- I ordered a small floral arrangement for a co-worker's birthday. I had searched for "same day delivery" and found FloralExpress.com. I searched their site for all arrangements that stated they could be delivered same day - according to their site, if ordered by 1PM in the recipients timezone, same day delivery was guaranteed... for an additional charge, you can get guaranteed delivery within 4 hours. I ordered a "same day" arrangement, paid $13.95 for delivery and and additional $4.99 for the 4 hour guarantee. I placed the order at 10:30 CST, also the timezone for the recipient. I expected the flowers to be delivered by 2:30 - in time for our department celebration for her birthday. At 3:15 PM... 45 minutes after I expected their arrival, I received a VM and email saying they couldn't find a local florist to deliver - could they deliver the next day. How disappointing... no, you can't deliver birthday flowers the day after the birthday, miss the celebration... and the person was taking off for the holiday weekend anyway. They offered to call her and arrange a future delivery date... no way!! Missed the birthday... missed the sale. I cancelled and will not use them again. I know of local florists who could deliver same day, but elected to use floralexpress because of the online ordering 'convenience'... not so!! I will not use them again, even though I believe they are an extension of Proflowers whom I love(d).
