Federal Express Corporation Complaint - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
LAFOLLETTE, TENNESSEE -- Bad treatment and lack of common sense seem to prevail with this company. It could be bad drivers, however that is hard to tell, since the customer service dept. seems to back whatever they say. Here is the complaint as I filed it with fedex:
Comments: I am completely disatisfied with the attitude I received from your customer service department. After 6 telephone calls to Fedex and 3 to Zales (the shipper) it would seem that no resolution to my problem could be found and the order had to be cancelled and returned to Zales, costing them a sale. Your reps have ever so rudely explained your policy to me twice. All I needed was to change the shipping address so I could be present to sign for the package. When the first door tag was left I left a note containing my work address, phone numbers and that I would be home at 4:30 if the delivery could be made then. Day two, you have an attempt in your system, but we got no door tag, the note was undisturbed, nothing. It appeared no one had attempted a 2nd delivery. The third tag on the 11th, was stuffed in my mail box on Veterens Day. That is a federal holiday and no mail would run. Not to mention that Fedex is not allowed to use my mailbox which is federl
al property. I do believe that is a criminal offense. I didn't find the tag until after my mail ran Saturday afternoon. Again, I had left a way to contact me and the time I would be home, but again they were undisturbed. Fedex then gave the me the run-a-round, telling me to call my shipper to change the address. I did so only to find out that after Zales made the attempt it was not allowed due to Fedex policy. This package is going back. It cost Fedex, Zales and myself. Perhaps you need to rethink your policy and attempt to re-train some of your couriers who cannot leave door tags consistantly nor can they fill them out completely or legibly. I am truly unhappy and will choose another shipping option when ever possible until things change. I hope you construe this complaint as constructive criticism as that is what it is intended to be. My courier on route where I work is fantastic and always accomodates us whenever possible. My home courier (whoever he may be - !
since they don't list it on the tag) needs to train with him.
