Allied Car Rental - Nightmare in Every Sense of the Word

SAN JUAN -- Customer service horrible! Employee talking among each other, ignored us as we stood at the counter. After waiting one hour, the girl told us we had to put a 500.00 Hold and after purchasing insurance, they requested if we carried ins?? I became frustrated at the rudeness, I walked out and walked with my luggage to [the] hotel. The next day I returned because there was no other place to rent a car, and they had us wait 1 and a half hours before they would rent us the car. I had purchased insurance through car rental.Com, plus I gave her my personal insurance. On top of all this the customer service from d manager and employees were very rude sarcastic and nasty! Never again...This is a rip off!

You're not the only one that has had an extremely poor customer experience with this company. Between January and the end of April of this year there were at least 10 complaints similar to yours about them. It looks like customer service is not a big concern for them. You could, if you have the time to spare, file a complaint with the Departmento Asuntos Del Consumidor (Puerto Rico's Department of Consumer Affairs), but I'm not sure what they might do about it. Your warning for your fellow consumers is much appreciated!
