Dish network - No consideration for customers.
ILLINOIS -- Dish was installed in our restaurant and adjacent apartment. We chose the minimum package. 6 months later we were told commercial rates applied and our rates would double. Our contract meant nothing, and we were advised we could not disconnect the business and resume our contract rate with service to the apartment only. We chose to buy out of our contract (which was figured on the commercial rate rather than our original contract rate). We shipped the DVR back via UPS. We were advised we would be charged 162.00 early termination fee. DISH billed and collected 540.00 and said they did so because they showed we had not returned the equipment. We provided the tracking number and the customer service representative said it showed the equipment had arrived but it was not noted as being received. We were told we would be credited when it was verified. This fiasco is compounded by the fact that DISH overDrew our account when they took almost 400.00 more than they told us they were going to. Now we can pay the 25.00 overdraft fee along with whatever other surprises this all causes. Beware when you give a credit card number to these people. I wish someone would get some kind of class action court case to make the public aware of these tactics.
