KERNERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I have a 2007 Chev. Impala which Parks Cheverolet was doing some repair work. Included in the repair was the replacement of my 2 front tires. It has been approx 1 month and both tires have knots in them. I have gone back to Parks but they won't replace them. They are saying it's the back tires that are defective. We have had another mechanic look at them and he agreed that there are knots in the front tires.

The condition of your back tires have no relevance to the knots in your front tires. Knots are usually caused by broken belts. Your tires should be replaced at no cost to you. As these tires age the knots will probably become larger. The knots are probably on the sides and can cause a sidewall blowout, the most dangerous kind, especially on the front axle.Do not let them get away with this. Small claims court might be your best solution.
