Don't use Travelocity Secret Hotel
I used Travelocity Secret Hotel to book 2 hotel rooms for 4 adults. I needed 4 beds but was never asked how many beds I needed or given a chance to upgrade if necessary.
My confirmation said 2 rooms, 2 adults in each room. When we arrived at the hotel we were told we had booked 2 rooms with 1 bed in each room. I said this wouldn't work. The hostess read my confirmation and said she would get us 4 beds at no extra charge. She said she would cancel the original, prepaid reservation and charge me for 2 rooms. It took almost 90 minutes to straighten this out.
When I got home, I saw that the original charge was not reversed and we got charged for 2 more rooms. I called Travelocity and got their call center in India. Spent nearly an hour on the phone explaining over and over again what had happened. She told me "you used the Secret Hotel option, the number of beds is a secret, everything is a secret". I said the Travelocity website says only the hotel name and exact location is a secret until you book and pay. Anyway she called the hotel and after talking to them she promised me that the original prepaid amount would be reversed. Again it wasn't.
So I wrote the hotel. I used the email address listed for the GM that was right on their invoice. The reply was from an outsource center as well! Filled with spelling and grammatical errors, it made little sense. I never did get satisfaction and have no idea how to contact an actual person from Travelocity or the hotel.
Bottom line, I can't recommend using Travelocity or their Secret Hotel service.
