OLYMPIA, WASHINGTON -- I began to have problems making my mortgage, loss of hours at work or sometimes no work. We had a child a year ago, my wife had time off and then child care payments. I contated BOA and asked what we could do. We were eligable for Making Homes afordable. After mailing my paper work, going throug 6 different agents that were assigned to me (some fired, some did not even work there when they transferred me to them). My claim was denied due to a lack of paperwork. This was not on my end, they would give me 3 days to send paperwork in or drop me. Then I was given a new agent with an apology. I was finally dropped after 9-10 months because "you have to be 90 days deliquent to be eligable). I called BOA and was told I was dropped because I make to much money. I am 2 months behind (which makes me not eligable for HARP) can not make this months payment yet. BOA says I should reapply for Making Homes Affordable and continue to make my payments. My house was worth 420,000 and now worth 360,000. I owe 377,000 and don't have money to pay it down and can't get BOA to drop the interest from 6.5%, and I pay PMI. I believe BOA must want to own a lot of houses. I would love to keep my house but BOA will not help. They can have this one to. I'm about done. Thanks for the great customer service BOA. P.S. the local Boa can not help you with the MHA loan, they are sorry but there is nothing they can do on their end.

If you can scrape the money together, get a lawyer. It seems to me that a legal torch is the only thing that will light a fire under the collective butts of the banking world.

Actually I agree with what the rep told you to do. Keep trying to make the payments, because if you keep trying (as you have been doing), then you will be 90 days behind (on your actual payments) and perhaps you can help due to that.
