Frontier communications - Is this even a real company?

COEUR D ALENE, IDAHO -- Oh. My. Gosh!!!!!!!! After being a customer of Verizon for 10 years, I've had
Frontier forced upon me from a buyout. I've been trying to get phone service
hooked up to a home I've owned for 8 years and after 7 (seven!!) long calls
to Frontier customer "service" I'm no closer to getting service. I've been asked to
verify my identity with a notarized form even AFTER I walked into corporate offices
with two forms of identity. The lady said it still had to be notorized, even
though I was RIGHT there. Do you really not trust your own employees to check my identification?
Each call ends up on hold for at least 10 minutes after the representative is stumped by my problem. The ultimate in disorganized corporate bureaucracy. Sooooo frustrating. Should it really be this hard to get a phone ?
Do you really not want my money? I guess cell phones are going to CRUSH Frontier.
