MELBOURNE -- Purelamp alias Chen Lin of hong kong

We purchased two iPhone 4 from this company.
When charging phones shorted our power and smoked at power point, I advised them and they told me to buy new chargers. When took to phone provider to get working with old sim, they could not get to work!
Sourced an iPhone doctor who told us they were refurbished and not suitable for Australia!
Took to apple store they advised of no corresponding serial numbers!

We then advised purelamp we will be returning for full refund - they gave us the address for return items - these were posted back to them within 45 days.
I constantly checked on the returned goods, which purelamp assured me they are reputable and will refund my money on receipt of goods, over a 2 week period.
I sent them an email after checking with postal service, they had made several delivery attempts after only the 5th time would purelamp receive returned goods.
They now say after 60 days they will NOT refund and only exchange for more fraudulent iPhones and pay more postage.
I have taken this up with PayPal and eBay who are not sure of what they can do as after 45 days!

This seller's feedback is "private", and their feedback rating is 98.3%. 98.3 may sound high, but for a seller with 9000+ feedbacks it is a bit low. Should be over 99% IMO. The "private" feedback would scare me away. Also, I don't do business with companies that have broken/poor English in their ads, which this one does.

Their products are advertised to be authentic and the phones unlocked. Personally, I wouldn't buy an iPhone from a non-authorized dealer in China.

Your main problem here, other than dealing with a possibly sketchy company, may be you are beyond both the seller's return period (30 days) and possibly the Ebay and PayPal deadlines.

I bought a supposedly new iPhone from Purelamp. It had been refurbished and worked for about 2 minutes. They played the game of "we're so sorry and will solve problem or refund' but managed to do neither. I was out a lot of money and have since read many reviews about people having gate same problem. PayPal nor eBay could do anything because of the 45 day policy which Purelamp managed to get round by sending very reassuring emails until after the date. Basically they got £220 of my money and I got nothing.
