DirecTV - Bad Customer Service
EL SEGUNDO, OKLAHOMA -- I have a compliant about your company. We are planning to move this Saturday June 9th and wanted to take DirecTV with us. My husband contacted the movers department to schedule the moving of service. We have been with DirecTV since 2007 although we have had a few late charges and 1 disconnection we have been loyal customers. My husband was on the phone with a customer service representative and she was trying to get him to add several services and add-ons no problem.
My husband declined and asked why he could not get the offer for the N. F.L Sunday ticket that is currently being offered for people that move. the customer service agent told him that his account did not qualify for it. Then she told him that we had to pay $180 dollars to move the service. This was a shock to him because the last time we moved there was no charge. My husband voiced his unwillingness to pay this amount and the customer service representative hung up on him.
So my husband called back told the next person that he spoke with about the non customer service that he received from the last agent. My husband also explained to the agent the issues that he had and this agent began to chastise him about paying the bill on time to receive a better deals. My husband wanted to speak to a supervisor but this agent wanted to make sure that he got his point in then transferred the call.
My husband then talked with the supervisor and set up the move. They stated that the earliest date that we could have the service installed was June the 18th. We both talked about this treatment and felt because DirecTV has Millions of customers they are not concerned with 1 small fish. When he hung up the phone we immediately called Dish network and scheduled install for this Saturday with no money due. My husband called this morning to DirecTV and cancelled the service with your company. It is a shame that after 5 years we did not get treated better than we did. One of the main reasons that we stayed with DirecTV was because of the N. F.L Sunday ticket. So instead we went with a company that is hungry to get new customers and we will find out if they want to keep our business more than your company. I wanted to drop this letter to voice my outrage on how we were treated. At this time I cannot and will not recommend your services to any of my friends or family.
