Nikon Customers Beware
Nikon Coolpix Customer Service - Complaint
If you're thinking of purchasing a new Nikon, all I can say is buyer beware!
I have spent the past month trying to resolve an issue with my daughter's $150 Coolpix Camera which broke before the year warranty was up. They have boldfaced lied to me on three separate occasions, each time telling me they will "personally guarantee that my issue will be resolved within 24-48 hours." When pressed for details, they keep saying they will have to take my case to "upper management" (no more specifics than that). They initially provided me with a repair estimate of nearly 75% of the camera after I had agreed to ship it to them(at my own cost).
The customer service and service relations representatives are downright despicable - I will go out of my way to never purchase any item from Nikon again and I hope you'll learn from my mistake!
