SAM'S CLUB - Bad Service

Not Acknowledging Letter Received in Mail - Complaint

WEST MIFFLIN, PENNSYLVANIA -- I received a flyer on getting a $10 statement credit when adding a third person to there account and spending at least $50. Went to store with my husband and daughter to renew our membership and add my daughter to account. Doing exactly what the flyer said to do. The girl at the counter knew nothing about it very rudely suggested we go home and bring in the flyer!!! They would not even attempt to call the home office to see if indeed the flyer was legit. She finally called a manager and he also knew nothing and suggested the same thing. We didn't go home but went to Costco's and joined their club. Just thought I would let you know you not only lost 3 customers but the seriously uncaring way your employees handled an easily preventable situation. How easily they could have looked into our request and changed our now bad feelings.

This is the second complaint from posters complaining about this. Sams/Walmart need to get their act together.

Your experience would have gone much smoother if you had brought the flyer to the store with you. They cannot just go by your word. There may have been a promotional code on the flyer that was needed. I really do not see how this is the fault of Sams Club.

Rule #1 whenever I go into a store that's having a special promotion (printed ad/flyer on door) I always take the flyer with me.

This is not the first complaint about the mailing. Seems Sams Club sent it out and will not honor it. Granted the OP did not have the flyer, but Sams Club should have known about it since it was them doing the mailing.

'Yoke' is right, if it was a corporate-wide flyer, they should have known. They at least should've made an attempt to look it up online or contact someone who WOULD know.
