Palace Resorts-Vallarta Palace, Mexico Complaint - Poor Customer Service, Poor Quality

Review by Punkalina on 2005-11-19
NUEVA VALLARTA -- Well.... we arrived for our honeymoon at the Vallarta Palace at 1:00AM on 9/24/05 after flying for 11 hours, without our luggage. The receptionists were absolutely unhelpful. We get to our room. There are towel bars missing, and the television does not work. It gets fixed the next day, so we are ok.... The hotel has a total of 20 guests, and half the restaurants are closed. All of the people including us, that came to this hotel, came only because the Aventura Palace & Spa was damaged by Hurricane Emily, and it was closed. We had not chosen this hotel.

The whole time we were there, they tried to sell us time shares, and when we said we were not interested, we were ignored. Oh yeah... our last night, there was a leak in the room above us, and we spent the last night of our honymoon looking on to grass... We will never return to a Palace Resort... The entertainment (and I am being gracious calling it that) was disorganized, and practically non-existant.

We had to call every day to get our room cleaned...

The hotel made us pay for a full extra day, even though we left at 3:00AM...

I would never stay in Mexico...it is a third world country. Any place in the U.S.A. would be better, and you can drink the water!

You're right casey, "Appalachia" is the place to be right?

Are you some sort of fool? Of course they tried to sell you time shares the whole time you were there. That's what that company does. Maybe you should have splurged on a 'real' hotel for your honeymoon. Cheap?

You went to Mexico right after a hurricane. What did you really expect? I know this is a few years old but I had to ask.
