Kenmore Trio Refrigerator Is JUNK & So Is SEARS!
HANOVER, PENNSYLVANIA -- We purchased the Kenmore Bottom Freezer w/ Amoire doors November 10, 2010. At that time we had a 20 year old Kenmore that had worked like a charm, we were just ready to upgrade to a newer "energy efficient" model.
After paying $1200 on sale for our new unit, we were initially pleased. HOWEVER, things have changed. We began seeing ice accumulation on the ice maker which we would have to manually chip off to expose the fan again. Then we noticed the unit became louder and louder when cooling.
Bad compressor? Possible. When we called to have it repaired, we were informed our limited warranty was over and the service call would cost $125 for a looksee. If it were the compressor, only the commpressor would be covered by warranty, but labor would not. AND parts would take about 2 wks to come in???????? The soonest available appt was this coming MONDAY.
Now that is all moot as our LESS THAN 2 YEAR OLD REFRIGERATOR IS NOW COMPLETELY NOT WORKING!!!!! Our unit began making loud popping noises last night, there is an error message on the temperature settings and no cooling is occurring. Of course, none of these symptoms are addressed in their useless owners manual.
NOT EVEN 2 YEARS OLD. And of course, SEARS is willing to do NOTHING but charge us huge amounts to fix an appliance which is practically brand new.
I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING AT SEARS AGAIN! No wonder this company is failing so badly right now. Their products, service and quality suck! And their customer service is the WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!
