SMYRNA, TENNESSEE -- Tonight at I hop on 779 team Blvd, the lady told us as soon as we walked in they were under staffed,we asked to be seated and her response was,I can seat ya but that doesn't mean you will get anything to drink. Who the h*ll tells that to a customer? Our waiter Jon was fantastic. He warned us they were busy, but served us great. The lady at the front that greeted us Kim I think was her name, tall lady with black hair, she should be fired. No execeptions. thank you Stan Luckett [snip]

I do not see anything wrong with how the hostess handled this situation. In fact, I commend her for being honest about the possible slow service. If I were in the same situation as you were I would hope that my hostess would be as honest as yours.

Nothing wrong with the hostess being honest with you, and letting you know the situation ahead of time. The alternative would've been to have seated you and not told you anything, and have you sit there for a while before anyone could get to you, and not telling you why you were sitting there and not being helped. She picked the lesser of two evils IMHO.
