Sears Complaint - Sears Credit Card
SAN LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA -- In 2003 I bought a new refridgerator from Sears. I also paid part of a new refridgerator purchase for my son.
Other than these purchases, I bought nothing else from Sears until purchasing a new "lightweight" vacuum on sale in 2004.
I paid off the entire first balance before purchasing the vacuum.
A few months later, Sears changed the carrier for their credit cards to Chase. They then included my entire original balance to the credit card. 27 phone calls were made and 3 ltrs written to attempt to correct this. Ltrs and notes to Chase were ignored.
I was finally forced to pay the original $1000 (again) as it was affecting my credit rating. To date, no response or adjustment has been forthcoming from either company.
I am preparing a lawsuit against Sears, and invite anyone else (especially the couple who were defrauded with a used refridgerator) to do the same. They deserve it.
