THORNDALE, PENNSYLVANIA -- On May 21st, my dr. Set up 3 appointments for the 12th,14th and 21st of June. The appointment on the 12th was for an allergy screening to be done at 3 p.m. Aside from being very inconvenient, I still had 2 other appointments coming up. After arriving an hour early (2p.m.)When 3:25 p.m. Came, the nurse finally called me in with the usual excuses. After going over the test precedures, the nurse said that the rash I have would prevent doing the test. She then said she'd send a Dr. in to look at it. After another 10 min. The Dr. told the nurse I should see an allergy Dr.(After being a nurse for 35 years I guess she never heard of an " allergist.") If I have some sort of rash, there is a Dr. Called "a dermatologist." Bottom line... I wasted an entire afternoon for nothing. If my Dr. or anyone there had any knowledge or intelligence, they could have at least made the other 2 appointments on the same day. Then I wouldn't have gone for nothing ! *** My time and all patient's time is also valuable too !*** Time to find a **** good, reliable *** dr.

Did they know you had an active rash when you made the appointment? I'm guessing this was your primary care doctor? If you have an HMO, you would have had to have seen them anyway to get the referral for the allergist or dermatologist or whatever specialist you needed.

Getting called into the exam room at 3:25 for a 3pm appointment? That's not too horribly late (especially since it was that late in the day). Just because you arrived an hour before your scheduled appointment doesn't mean they're going to fit you in any earlier. Once in a blue moon it might happen, but it's more then exception than the rule.
