SANFORD, FLORIDA -- I have purchased a 2005 PT CRUSIER from the car max in Sanford Fl. about3 yr ago. I have had trouble with over heating ever since. It has been in the shop for the same thing 4 times. They fix it and then it does it again, I have paid out pocket several times. It is in the shop again for a bigger problem. I feel that they should fix it at no cost, or total this car or trade it for another. I can't afford to keep pay for this.
Very unhappy with this car. Need something done soon.

Buying a used car is a gamble. You bought a car that was 4 years old, and now it is 3 years later. I am afraid you are probably on your own. If this car can't be repaired for some reason, perhaps the manufacturer is the one to pursue.

Has anyone diagnosed the root cause of the problem, such as an internal blockage in the motor?

Sounds like you got a leak somewhere.

Have you noticed and wet spots under the car?

I'd check your oil for antifreeze to, it could be internal.

you have a mechanical issue not a Carmax issue.

If you would state what repairs were done to your car and when they were done it would go a long way in interpreting your problem.

"you have a mechanical issue not a Carmax issue." Well put Dan.

I too would say take it to another mechanic.. listen for the fans to start, a simple fix to swap out one if it's the culprit. Other comments above hold true.

2005 vehicle is pretty recent. I hope they replaced the thermostat.
