RIO RANCHO, NEW MEXICO -- We are very unhappy with Mohawk Stranded Bamboo floating floor. It is beautiful. We read a number of articles written by Mohawk before purchasing 1900 sq ft of it and within weeks of installation the floor was warping, buckling, cupping, separating, and the ends rising up. When we complained to the distributor and to Mohawk Industries--they then said it should not have been installed over radiant heat.

The heat was not on in June 2011 when it was installed nor in July when the damages began. We told the salespeople very clearly that it would be going over radiant heat and not one salesperson mentioned the restriction; not one article on Mohawk bamboo flooring said it should not be placed over radiant heat. For the last 11 months we have been trying to resolve the situation but IBS, the distributor, and Mohawk Industries have been unresponsive to our concerns and unhelpful.

We have complained to BBB, the NM Attorney Generals Office, and the Construction Industry Office. All of those glowing articles we read--not true. For a reputable company this is really sleazy.
