Spirit Airlines - Pushed Into Wheelchair
NYC, NEW YORK -- On a cancelled flight from NYC to Myrtle Beach SC, I had wheelchair service. After the flight was cancelled, the wheelchair person came back and pushed me back to the ticket counter. She then left. Finally I got up and talked to the woman at the ticket counter. She angrily told me there were no flights until 4 days later. Everyone was yelling and no one could get a straight answer from the ticket agents. The attendant finally came back, pushed me into the wheelchair, I yelled out that she had hurt my leg, but she did not pay attention, and pushed me to pick up my 1 piece of luggage./ She then wheeled me back up to where I could hire a car to take me back to CT. My leg was really hurting. There was a huge Hemotoma, I have photos, which was the size of a 50 cent piece, and protruded about 3/4 inch, filled with blood. I saw a surgeon and he prescribed a nurse to change the dressing daily.
This is about 1 month later, I am still being treated. Today is June 24th.(over a month since I received the wound) The nurse arrives daily to change my wound dressing. It still needs daily dressing changes and keeps me from leaving my home for more than an hour.. I cannot seem to contact a real person at Spirit.
