My 6th Dell is my last Dell
Dell Inspiron PC and Dell V715W Printer - Complaint
KENTUCKY -- Over the years I have purchased six computer systems and two printers from Dell. This last system has been nothing but a headache. The printer for this system was not used the first year after I purchased it. When the other printer went out, I installed this printer since I bought it with this PC. I haven't used a complete cartridge of colored ink and I have started on the second one of black ink. There was a problem that developed with the print head. Dell informed me my warranty had run out. I knew that, I was trying to get assistance and explained that I felt a month of use should not warrant this problem. I was willing to buy a new print head or get this repaired. I was informed that they no longer made this printer and that they would send me a new printer, but I would have to pay $129 for it. This is the second time since I have started using this PC that I have called for assistance. The other time they took over my computer and were telling me they could fix the problem, but it would cost me over $100 for a one-time-fix. They recommended I purchase a one-year unlimited service for nearly $300. I decided not to waste my money and was able to go to the internet and solve the problem I took to them about a toolbar. I feel a loyal customer should be given more consideration than I have been shown. They are always very helpful when selling a machine, but it seems it takes at least $129 to get any assistance if your warranty has expired. As soon as I can I will rid myself of the Dell products and find a different system.
