Sears - Terrible Customer Service and Extended Warranty
Whirlpool Dishwasher - Complaint
TUKWILLA, WASHINGTON -- Wow! Really bad customer service, I'm very unhappy with my purchase and with Sears service and extended warranty!!!
I purchased a dishwasher a little over a year ago, along with a 5 year extended warranty. One of the switches recently became faulty and we scheduled a repair tech to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. At 12:30 PM still no tech so I called the number provided by the confirmation call the previous day. When I asked the service representative if she could provide an approximate time that the tech would either call or be here she said no she couldn't. When I complained about that, she hung up on me. I called back and talked to a manager, who was, indeed, able to provide a time that the tech would arrive.
When the tech arrived he confirmed that the switch was faulty, and said one would have to be ordered, and it would be 12 days. 12 days, for a common part, and I live in the Seattle Metro area. And I have to take another day off from work, and be tied to my doorbell for 1/2 a day. And go without my dishwasher for another two weeks.
Just a poor showing all the way around, first the product itself breaks down, the tech is late and doesn't call, the service representative hangs up on me (after giving me terrible service), and I have to wait 12 days for the repair. (for a replacement of a common part.)
