Days Inn - Terrible Hotel

Hotel stay - Complaint

PAINTSVILLE, KENTUCKY -- We stayed at the Days Inn in Paintsville, Ky. This is by far the worst place we have ever stayed in. When we got there we could immediately tell they gave us 2 smoking rooms when we booked 2 non smoking rooms online. When we went to ask for different rooms they refused because we booked through Orbitz and said it was locked in. Both rooms had burn holes on their bed spreads and the carpets were stained. The bathrooms looked like there were just wiped down without any good scrubbing in a long time. Paint is peeling off the walls. Also on our 2nd night there the gas station right next door was robbed and the police came to question us if we had seen anything. On the morning we left in both rooms we saw a roach as big as a mans index finger. It was not worth the money we saved and if I were in the area again I would rather take my chances sleeping outside.

What a scary situation. Did you complain on the companies website? Below id the link to their website were they ask you to tell them about your stay. Also, on the left of that page, they have other choices for you to contact someone regarding the room.

Just a note, bedspreads aren't kept in one room. They are laundered (sometimes). Just because the sheet had a burn hole in it, does not mean it was done in that room.
I despise duhs inn.

Hi Tigerlilly48326,

My name is Lynne, and I am part of the Orbitz Customer Relations Team. We regret such a disappointing experience. Although the quoted room rate is ‘locked-in’, a specific room is assigned at the discretion of the hotel. Please email us at socialnetwork@orbitz.com and enter my name in the subject line, so that we can this issue investigate further.

Thank you for your patience, and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Sincerely,

Lynne
