Dish Network - DO NOT SIGN UP WITH DISH TV!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT
TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA -- This company not only has horrible service (shows are continually stalling and the service cuts out all of the time), but it is impossible to get good customer service. Case and point:
May 2010: sign up with Dish and agree to 2 year contract only because no one else in apartment has good enough credit to have install fee waived
October 2010: Moving out of apartment and request that dish either cancel the account, change the name on the account, or pause the service since the new house I was moving into already had TV service set up. Dish customer service would not allow me to do any of the above and instead recommended that I change the service to include the lowest possible plan and continually pay for that until I needed more channels later (total scam).
May 2011: Moved into a new apartment and asked dish to give me more channels and increase my package since I would ACTUALLY be using it again. They were happy to do so...
May 2012: Moving into my first home and excited to finally be able to cancel dish since my 2 years were up. I was informed that by increasing my package and programming, I had unintentionally extended my contract for another 2 years!!!! When I told customer service MANAGER how deceitful it was, she stated that I signed a contract on a tablet when the guy had come to install the dish. What really happened? I was never informed that I was signing for another 2 years, and instead that I was signing the tablet to agree that the new dish had been installed.
Customer service is absolutely horrible
Service is unacceptable
Contracts are made so that customers can never get out of them
This company should be sued!!!
