Cingular Wireless Complaint - New Service - NOT
I made the huge mistake of trying to sign up for Cingular Wireless Service. Of course with my new account, came a new cell phone. Except the phone never worked correctly, - Cingular used their own tecnician to test the phone, and agreed it was defective, not that that seemed to matter to them, and it took my hours upon hours of being on hold and being passed from one person to the next, hung up on many times, before I finally got someone who siad they could help. But their word wasn't good. That person , a Jane Nahas, said that she would send me a new phone right away, and gave me an address to ship the defective phone. Three weeks, and six calls latter, still no phone. Now I'm almost two months into my new "Service", and believe me I'm getting billed!1, but I still don't have a phone to use. They even shut me off because I didn't pay the bill for a phone I wasn't using because it was defective. I ended up going to Verizon, where I am very happy, but now Cingular is trying to chage me for two months service, the activation fee and the cancelation fee, ove3r $300, for a phone that I never used, I only raked up 5 mins in the entire time, and those were for picking up voice mail from people who were trying to reach me but couldn't get through. STAY AWAY FROM CINGULAR THEY ARE A TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DO BUINESS WITH< AND THEY ARE THIEVES.
