Sears - Overall horrible experience. Lying customer service workers
Pro form treadmill 1450 - Complaint
NEW JERSEY -- I placed an order for a treadmill by phone on June 9, 2012. The woman taking the order got my name and address and email address wrong. She gave a tax price $20 more than the Internet was showing me if I ordered online. She said a coupon code was no good but it was working online. Sh e made adjustments but if I wasn't trying the order myself online I would have been overcharged! I specifically told the woman I did not want to order it if it was not carried into the house and installed upon delivery. She assured me it would be but said she was unsure of the price. She thought it was about $99 for installation. That was fine. She gave me a number to call for installation. I called. They said Sears does not charge for installation on large items. Someone called me after placing the order and said the order wouldn't go through and discovered my information was wrong. We corrected it but when I called June 15 to question where my confirmation email was they still had my information wrong. Again I asked if the treadmill would get carried in and installed and I was told yes. I was told it would be delivered today June 23. I called last night to confirm and was told again it would be carried in and installed by Dahl delivery company. I was told earlier in the day that they wouldn't install it but later on told they would I was told it would be delivered between 1-5. I called again this morning and was told they couldn't find my order. I was told it was a different delivery company and they wouldn't carry it in Nor install it. I was given so many stories and when my husband called today at 5:30 after it didn't show up he was told it wasn't coming today. He was told he could get a tracking number in 5-7 business days. He asked an employee for his employee number and he gave him a 4 digit number so my husband asked why hid Id had 4 digits but everyone else gave us 6 and he said it was his badge number. Then he gave him a 6 digit number. I feel like it is a total scam I feel like I am dealing with some downtown scam artist store and not a well known department store like Sears. I am emailing the corporate also with all employee names and ids and complaining. Amazon had the same item for about $50 more and I have never ever had these kinds of issues with them. Call Amazon before Sears!!!!!!!
