Furniture Order and Delivery - Complaint
They did not deliver and did not refund my money after they did not deliver. If you get upset with them, "they do not believe in the customer is always right." They get upset back, curse you back and call the cops on you. All in front of customers.
I have contacted the company several times, with no responses, except one return phone call on 6/23/2012.
During the week of June 11th I called a few times, never receiving a return phone call. On June 12th, I left a message for Curt to call me back, nothing.
I went into the store later that week, either June 14 or 15 and was told by George and the gentleman who handles furniture orders, that my furniture was guaranteed delivery the week of June 20th. The invoice I have is that the furniture would be delivered on June 23rd.
After not hearing anything from your company prior to 06/23, I called on 06/23 and asked for George and explained to the young lady why I was calling. I also spoke with Donald and he told me the furniture was not available, he did not know what was going on with it and George would need to speak with me. I was told George would call me back. He did call and I missed him, he left a very generic message, it sounded as if he had no idea why I was calling. I called him back again and was told he was busy and would call me back in 15mins. I never received another call back, never heard back, until I visited the store at 6pm on 06/23/2012. At that point I was requesting a refund of my $150 down payment. George came in seeming very agitated, he said I was cancelling and that I owed him an additional $170 for cancelling. I never stated I was cancelling. I requested a refund because I did not have any furniture and did not have a clue as to what was going on with the furniture. I was not informed or kept in the loop. I was not given any options. Instead, because I got upset and cursed, George got upset and cursed back. And then the police were called. Once again I asked for Curt and was told "oh we probably can't get him". I asked for his number, no one gave it to me.
I have spoken with my attorney. I have filed a Fraud report with the local authorities, which is what the police officer advised. I have filed a Fraud report with the credit card company. I have filed with the BBB. This company has a lot of unanswered BBB complaints. And will be filing with the Texas Attorney General and Federal Trade Commission.
I was not given any of these options: option to cancel the sale and receive a full refund of the down payment of $150; Option to negotiate a new delivery date; Nor the option to modify my sales contract by choosing something else to purchase instead of the original item.
I noticed Curt has replied to and made updates to a lot of these complaints....lets see if this one gets an update and resolution. I doubt it. Just from my first interaction with Curt and the "homeboy handshake", this company does not have any respect or regard for ethnic people, especially when they knowingly fraud them. I may not get a refund, but I will be heard!
