Dish Network - Repeated Bad Information and Fraud Charges
Dish Network Contract - Complaint
Repeated told that I would be let out of my contract and all fees waived if it was for a military move ( i.e. with orders). Almost 6 weeks after they received my orders I was charges $192.50 for early termination to my credit card (this was 3 weeks after my account was officially closed/last bill paid/equipment returned). Upon calling customer service I was told by the first 2 operators that my account would be credited and appologized for the error...upon being transferred to the Execuative Resolution Department I was told that my early termination fee would not be waived due to my Military Orders were NOT for overseas. Nothing previously (at least 5 phone calls including one prior to ordering service) had been mentioned about overseas orders vs any other orders. After arguing for 53 minutes on the telephone no resolution was reached. They repeated lied and gave false information and ultimately changed my credit card after my account had been closed. Is this how we treat members of the military who move frequently to meet the needs of our national defense?
