WARRENTON, VIRGINIA -- I gave my car to the dealer for tire rotation and wheel alignment. It was kept in the shop for about 5 hours. After taking the car home I found out that the tires were never removed from the vehicle and that the work that I was charged for was never performed. I was given a wheel realignment report that was generic without my vehicle VIN or other information entered which means that the alignment also was not performed on the vehicle. I consider that as fraud as they charged me about $130 dollars and they did not perform the work. All I got for that amount was a car wash. This happened on Saturday 23 June 2012.

What you describe does sound like fraud may have occurred, if what didn't happen is as you say. What proof do you have that the wheels were not switched, and not aligned?

Have you spoken with the service manager and mentioned your concerns to him/her?

If this is a car dealership you can figure out who in Virginia licenses auto dealers and file a complaint with them.
