Mattress Warehouse - Horrible Customer Service
Misleading Information During a Sale
DELAWARE -- On April 13, 2012. I visited Mattress Warehouse in Goverer Square, Bear, De I was looking for a traditional mattress. My 14 old grandson was lying on the Serta I-comfort with an adjustable base. The saleslady named Tricia went on to tell me how wonderful the mattress & bed were. I was hesitant as I am 69 years old & was not familiar with these new mattresses or adj. beds. She then told me there was a 120 day trial period. After only about a week I started having back problems which caused me several trips to the doctor.
I called & discussed this with a salesperson. I was told I could return the mattress for $199 delivery fee but the adj. bed which cost $1700 was non returnable. I was shocked. I got the number of the District Manager & he verified that the bed was non-returnable. I told him what the saleslady told me. He informed me that it was her word against mine, basically calling me a liar.
I have never dealt with such unscrupulous people in my 69 years. I am a lady on Social Security & have always been honest. How can Mattress Warehouse get away with the method they use to sell products?
