T-Mobile - Maybe This Is Why They're Loosing Customers.
I have been a T-Mobile customer for six years. While their service is about average their air time rates are cheaper than the other three big carriers. Upon previous renewals they still honored "MY Faves" which allows you to pick 5 frequently called numbers and you can talk unlimited. This was the main reason I stayed with them. My bill is $50.00 a month with 700 peak minutes. No texting or internet and I don't have a smart phone. My two year contract is up in August and I'm not renewing it. There are better deals out there with no contract and unlimited minutes.
I called customer service to inform them that I will not be renewing my contract and asked when I could get out of the contract, expiring in August. Previously they let you out of it a month or more early. I was told I had to stay exactly 2 years are face a $50 early penalty fee. The agent asked me why I wasn't renewing. I explained that there are unlimited plans costing less money, free texting & internet and NO contract. This fell on deaf ears. I got the hard sell for a new 2 year contract that offered nothing. I'm done with T-Mobile.
