Walmart - Customer Service and Training
SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA -- I like to visit WalMart stores in other cities because the merchandise is somewhat different at every store. This past week I stopped in the Pines Road store in Shreveport to purchase some tobacco for my hubby. It was marked 2.12 a can. They had no loose cans so the clerk sold me 2 unopened rolls. I came back to the store when I saw that I had been charged40.00 for the 2 rolls rather than 20.60. The customer service desk had 4 clerks including the supervisor working. They had no customers and they completely ignored me until I spoke up and asked if they were open. All 4 of them looked at me without acknowledging me and continued discussing another "lazy employee". I tried to explain my problem and the clerk quickly told me that the unopened rolls were 20.00 and individual cans are 2.12! When I said that makes no sense"buy 1 for 2.12 or 5 for 20.00) she looked at me with a frown and said "want it or not?"
Needless to say I didn't and I won't ever go into that store again. It's a good thing the supervisor was present(although she was still griping with the other clerks about that "lousy employee", I might have gotten treated poorly !
