CHATSWORTH, CALIFORNIA -- We live near the Chatworths, CA neighborhood and and would love to be able to eat at the IHOP at 21103 Devonshire St. Twice now (we thought we'd give them a second chance) we have gone in, been seated and then completely ignored. Each time, while we sat there with not even a cup of coffee, people who had come in after us have been waited on and even served. The first time this happened we finally got up and quietly left. This morning we thought we'd try it again and amazingly the very same thing happened. The only difference was that we did not wait quietly and say nothing. The manager saw us as we were seated and chose to ignore us, walked past us and bused and table in the corner. After we watched the group of people, who came in much after us, be waited on we got up and spoke to the manager. Of course he was very apologetic and even followed us outside trying to get us to come back in offering us free meals. I'm still trying to locate an IHOP site to issue a formal complaint - this place has an "A" rating which needs to be taken away. So anyone living in the Chatworths, CA area stay away from this place the service is terrible!!!

I quit going to my local IHOP for the same reason. Takes forever to get waited on then a good deal of time to actually get your food after it is ordered. The food is lukewarm at best. Then you never see the waitress again until they bring you your bill which is usually incorrect. I now frequent a local family owned restaurant who seems to enjoy my business.

I used to look forward to visiting Ihop, but at some point I discovered my interest lay more in a romantic notion I had that included tasty breakfasts, a house with a white picket fence and a golden retriever, whereas reality was horrible service, a rundown tenement building and a pit bull.

Is anyone else as shocked as I am that this particular IHOP actually has an A rating? The ones I have seen around here usually only pass their Health inspections on the second or possibly third try and are absolutely disgusting even then.

Go to IHOP's FB page and blast away! They also have an online form from their website AND a customer service number that actually got me no where with them. My advice is to just stay away from IHOP's in general. They really don't serve "good food" anyway. There dinner foods blow and I haven't been to one yet that knows how to cook a simple over medium egg. All they can do semi right is pancakes and there are independent pancake houses everywhere that does better than IHOP on even that!
