SANDUSKY, OH, OHIO -- Quality Inn Cleveland Ave Sandusky OH.....RUDE employees at the front desk......REALLY NASTY!!!!! Had 50 people waiting in the lobby for a 4:00 check-in (Hotels.com had the check in time @ 3:00.) At 4:15 the rude bunch announced that all 89 rooms were magically available! REALLY? Those of us that waited for an hour and a half in your Lobby are very greatful that you think we have an IQ of 0. Their excuse......We're at the Mercy of Housekeeping" - Ya Are?...well "Shucks", me Elly May, Jethro, and Granny thought you might have the brains to figure out what rooms have/have not been cleaned before 4:00 O'clock in the afternoon! Just sayin - Can you say "Hotel Management Degree"?......I didn't think so!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you saying that the rooms weren't available until 15 minutes after the posted time? That doesn't sound like a major problem.

The worst part of your wait seems to be the fact that hotels.com had the wrong check-in time, which is quite possibly the fault of hotels.com.

I don't like mysteries and surprises, so I book directly.

I agree with the OP. The idea that not one single room was ready before ALL the rooms were ready at the same time reeks of poor customer service. It also sounds pretty spiteful to me. Yeah, great, let's let a lobby full of people wait - some for more than an hour - because we can.
