Days Inn - Unsatisfactory facility
room accommodations - Complaint
BAINBRIDGE, GEORGIA -- On 30 Jul 12, my family and I were home visiting friends and relatives for our annual homecoming services to be held the following day and needed a place to stay for the night. We have stayed at Days Inn previously and had no issues with the accommodations. However, on that particular day, the room was a 3 bedroom and was a smoking room. I was OK with the fact that is was a smoking room since it would accommodate my party. My friend was washing her hands in the sink of the room and noticed a bug. She killed it and went about her business. When I took a shower, I saw a bug in the shower and killed it and went about my business. When I was getting dressed, I noticed several other bugs in the room and informed the front desk. They sent a can of bug spray and I sprayed the entire room along the boards and spotted a few more bugs. Upon checkout I filled out a complaint form and left it with the front desk. The person behind the desk did not seem overly concerned about my complaint and for all I know he threw the complaint away. I know that they hotels are privately owned and operated however I would have expected more professional service than what I was given. I will stay at the Holiday Inn express next time I am in town and will not recommend Days Inn to any of my friends and family in the future. I expect and demand better service from a hotel chain and will be happy to speak to anyone about my concerns. People should not have to deal with bugs when all they want is a good night sleep.
