PAW PAW, MICHIGAN -- I purchased a ten pound bag of leg quarters under the name brand of Gold Leaf sold by Wal-Mart and distributed by TSD. When I open the bag I found only two complete leg quarters and the rest being shared chicken bones with mangled legs attached to mangled thighs. I have purchased this product before with some time getting only one leg quarter that would be disfigured but nothing like this. I have the UPC code and the production information from the bag in question (UPC code is 75620 65074 and the production code is 178 2 MNR 16:26P 622) I was able to salvage about 5 lbs. of actual chicken from the bag and discarded the remainder due to the bone fragments and mangled meat. I wanted the company to know that they had a process failure in the quality and production of this product. Not sure I will buy this brand again.

There was a similar complaint here a few weeks ago about the same product.

I buy chicken quarters at my local Giant, 4 at a time (about 5 pounds), and they are always perfect. I probably pay a bit more than the family pack at WallsMart, but the quality is consistent. I have never bought one piece of meat at WallsMart, and never will.
