Greyhound - False Advertising; No Help When Their Office Closes Early; Bad Service
MUSKEGON, MICHIGAN -- I attempted to buy a Greyhound bus ticket 3 days in advance. I drove 1.5hrs to the nearest office. I was greated with a closed sign (2hrs early) and a "see the bus driver for ticket info" I then approached the driver who refused to speak to me or even to open his window to listen to me. I was frustrated. I needed to buy the tickets on this day or loose the discount that I truly needed to ride to Las Vegas to meet my husband.
I called the number and end up with a 3rd world country who can't help me even to find out where locations are to buy the tickets. My brother had to call the Grand Rapids location, I had less than an hour to get there and it was at least an hours drive. My brother drove fast and got there just in time to purchase the tickets for me and my young daughter. The advertisements are for more leg room, wifi Internet and electric ports. Out of this 4 day bus trip (2 days each way) we only got on one bus that had Internet and an electric port, the leg room wasn't there. I was kicked out of my online college course because I was unable to access the Internet.
I was in a lot of pain due to the cramped space, and all around it was an awful trip. Only one lady employee offered to help me with my luggage, being disabled I need some extra help. My bags were tagged incorrectly by the staff and one driver told me that wasn't his job. As well as the filthy bathroom on the bus. The smell was so overwhelming, you felt like you were gonna vomit.
I would not recommend the Grey Hound Bus to anyone at this point.
