SMYRNA, TENNESSEE -- On July 8,2012 at Store #06876.

I presented a Rain Check issued two weeks ago by Walgreens for Bottled Water the Store had ran out of. Today,7-08-2012, I went to the Smyrna, Tn store at 400 Sam Ridley Pkwy, 06876,and was told that there should be a limit on this product,2.The store issued a rain check for 4 case's of Pure American water. I don't see the reason one of your store employees took it upon herself to decide how much I should be getting. Your Employee told me that was not right and I should ONLY get 2 case's.

The painful apathy and poor judgment your employee used only adds to my conclusion that your Smyrna store lacks the training to understand their on Company policy and that the Customer is always right. This female employee was not even asked to help and injected her opinion while I was standing in line to pay for my purchase. Needless to say it made me feel like I was stealing something from your store.

The other customers in line with me could not understand why she choose to opine on my purchase without being asked. Is this the low level of service I can expect from your company from now on? I will tell others of my treated like a dog tactics your employee used.

I wouldn't be pleased either. Did a manager offer an explanation why the rain check wouldn't be honored for the quantity listed? Was the rain check written at the same store you tried to redeem it at? You shouldn't have to jump through hoops, but if it wasn't maybe you can take it to the original store to be honored?

I'm of the same mind as JISCal2 on one point - was this the same store? Stores do have the discretion to place limits, and one store could have a different limit than another or in certain cases (such as the extremely hot weather we have had) institute a limit. Did you ask for an explanation of the discrepancy?

"The customer is always right" is a phrase that a different company came up with many many years ago - unless it is in the Walgreen's handbook, it doesn't apply.
