Aerotek Complaint - not good to work for

Review by gem on 2005-12-04
PGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- My husband spent one week in the service of this agency in Pittsburgh.

They sent him to work at Mitsubishi creating these huge electrical boxes.

While at Mitsubishi he was treated abhorrently his lunch was broken into and taken.

In a room full of tables and chairs this man came in and insisted he had to sit exactly where my husband was having his lunch even though the entire room was empty.

He was required to buy steel-toe work boots for the job which cost us $40.00.

He was then told he had to pay $51.00 to Marshall Township which was withdrawn from his pay without prior consent.

He was asked on the last day he was there if he wanted to leave early.

There were 27 temporary employees there I guess the company wasn't looking for full-time permanent didn't want to pay those benefits.

The agency called him on Sunday afternoon after his first week of work and told him they no longer needed him there. Couldn't they have called Friday?

I would not trust working for this employer again and I will in the future refrain from purchasing or recommending any Mitsubishi product to anyone I know.

The $51 dollars that was taken out of his check without his consent is the $52 dollar Emergeny Medical Services Tax that was enacted in Pennsylvania last year. They don't ask your permission to take taxes out. It is up to each township whether they want to take it or not.
