Ralph Lauren - Unpatriotic

US Olympic Team Clothing

It has just come to my attention that Ralph Lauren outsourced its clothing designed for the U.S. Olympic team to China! This is outrageous and unpatriotic. How dare they? Unless they can have them remade in America before the opening ceremonies (and put an American flag where their brand logo is), I suggest they donate all of the profits to the U.S. Olympic team!

I was disgusted to read that most American flags are made in China. Ralph Lauren is no different then most companies. They only care about the bottom line and to make more money for their CEO's they outsource all their work to China, Mexico, India, etc.

Maybe something like this needs to open people's eyes and realize we need to start bringing jobs back to our own homes......and Im sick of people saying "prices will go up" thats okay..if we can get america working again, then we would be able to AFFORD to pay the extra 2-3 dollars for a pair of jeans that are made here.

If those uniforms were made in the USA - prices would have been higher, and when a needle went through a workers finger while they were talking in english on their mobile, it would have cost $2M for his/her lack of attention.

The same lawmakers who are complaining now would be complaining about how expensive it is ....blah blah.

The brouhaha over the 7,000 toilet seat (what ever the quoted cost was) forced alot of purchasing to follow price guidelines....and to go abroad. To the detriment of security, safety, and jobs.

It is NOT just a cost or bring the jobs home issue, safety and quality are involved too.

For the next games start a campaign to raise donations for specific athletes to have American made uniforms...start early and do it.
