DTV - Recent loss of Viacom channels

SWEDESBORO, NEW JERSEY -- I am thankful we have persons to make the "tough" decisions about channel formats and scheduling and so forth at DTV. They also seem to be making a stand for their consumers and our decisions to not have uncontrolled and undesirable rate hikes. So, I am not sorry we are missing the Viacom channels. If there is another opportunity of lowering our rates by "getting rid of" more wasted unnecessary air space please do so. We could stand to lose another hundred or so channel that may open up spots for more inspiring content or merely go outside and enjoy nice weather with our families while reserving money. Again I thanks you in lieu of your decisions. Let them take their baseball and go home. No money at all to be made there. Tired of paying for nothing. I can only hope our elected officials in Washington can learn from your example. Costs are ridiculous. Lets get together folks and get our world back to the norm. Trim down costs. This is not a fairy take, its real life.

One item to note: Viacom requires all who take popular channels such as Comedy Central to pay for and carry other low viewer channels such as Teen Nick, Tr3S, Nick Jr., etc. This is one reason channels are bundled into the packages you take.

I am not happy about losing Comedy central as I watch that channel a lot....and my direcV bill is really no less than any other cable company's bill...so if they dont figure something out soon, I will be canceling in december when my contract is up.

Direct tv is taking a stand against Viacom and I salute their effort. I watched several of the channels that have been lost but DTV has substituted other programming that I did not previously get, showtime encore and several others. Good for DTV.
