GE parts website - Rude and lack of customer service

Reverse osmosis - Complaint

I have a GE reverse osmosis system GXRM10G, for which I have been ordering the cartridges for, from the GE website. I have the manual and had made note of the parts numbers. Today, I am told that the numbers are not valid, and maybe I had made a mistake. Could it be that GE changed the numbers? but NO, they cannot help me unless I have the correct numbers. I have ordered them every year so far, and now I'm out of luck. Don't waste your time and money on GE.

I'm not understanding how your relaitonship fell so much apart, since you have been ordering parts from these people for so long.

Is it not possible to find out the new part number, and continue buying from the same place?

In what way were they rude?

How do you propose that I find out the new part #?

Also, their records only go back one year, so they don't have any record of me.

GE WANTS to sell these parts to you. That's what's so odd about them being so difficult. If they changed the parts numbers, they know what the original ones were and what they were changed to.

Try this Contact Us page for them; it seems to be specific to their water-related products:

https://knowledgecentral.gewater.com/kcpguest/

Click on the "Contact Us" link. As you walk through the page, you'll get to a screen that offers an online chat feature (plus email and phone contacts).

You'll notice they have the option of requiring you to login, so I don't if you can setup an account of some kind on that page.

If they still can't/won't help you, try entering the product numbers you have on other websites, like Amazon.com. Heck, just do a Google search. You will be surprised as to what you can find.

Maybe a local store can help you. You can search for local stores from that link above.

Thank you frak. I entered the product numbers that I had in a google search and ordered them from purewater4u.com

Thanks for the tip.
